Hey Barbie! This costume started as a hand-made white spandex leotard with a pink lining. I block-painted the neon colors onto the piece with fabric paint and sponges. To give the pattern the "airbrushed" feel, I used spray fabric paints around the color "blocks" to soften the edges. The leotard was completed with white stippling. This paint technique was also used on the visor. This project taught me how to work with spandex and fabric paint.
