Jinx's costume started with clothing altering. Her pant base was a thrifted pair of white capris that I dyed, embellished, and sewed ribbons onto. Her shoes and gloves were made similarly. The belt, armbands, and top were all made from brown cotton, quilt batting (for structure), and a variety of metal notions. Jinx's wig started as a short white unit and two long wefts that I then dyed to achieve the correct color. The wefts were sewn into the wig to achieve the desired length and covered by the gold foam pieces. The prop, fishbones, started as a large cardboard tube and was made entirely from EVA foam. The costume and prop were then weathered to look as worn out as the character.
